Is that Patrick Stewart doing a crazy voiceover in the first Dorothy of Oz trailer?

Patrick Steward doing voiceover in the new Dorthy of Oz Movie. View the trailer here.

Had to post this review from Charlie Anders simply for the fact that it has some great information on voiceover work.  Apparently, Patrick Stewart is continuing his voiceover work in the animation world.  He is already known as Deputy Director Bullock from American Dad, but now he is performing the voiceover narration in Dorthy of Oz:

Who asked for a sequel to The Wizard of Oz featuring Lea Michele from Glee as Dorothy, and Dan Aykroyd as the Scarecrow? Whoever it is, here you go. The first trailer for Dorothy of Oz looks, well… let’s just say unnecessary. The computer animation looks sort of like a kids’ video game circa 1995, and the one song we get to hear is also not overwhelming. The movie’s main selling point is Patrick Stewart, voicing the character “Tugg” — but is that Stewart doing the weird drunk-sounding narration, for the first half of this trailer?

I guess the plot of this one is that Dorothy returns to Oz to fight an evil jester (Martin Short.) The film-makers suggest you use the hashtag #DOZ to tweet about this film, which sounds like the opposite of NoDoz. Weirdly apt, I’m afraid. In any case, one day you’ll be able to do a marathon viewing of Sam Raimi’s Oz: The Great and Powerful, the 1939 Wizard of Oz, and this movie. And they’ll all fit together somehow.
